This project aims to assist the City of Inkster in resettling Afghan refugees within a blighted community in southeast Michigan. This is achieved via the implementation of incremental solutions that both revitalize the extant fabric and develop a sense of ownership within the community. The proposal first builds a network of support services centered around the renovation of local motels. This is expanded via an educational Hub that provides vital human resources often lacking for people who have been dislocated. The third and final portion of the project focuses on the housing development process, including novel methods for construction and ownership.
