Destination Inkster is an incremental expansion proposal aiming to repopulate the city of Inkster, Michigan with intimate neighborhoods and quality-of-life amenities ready for resettlement of Afghan refugees in the region. The proposal consists of an urban planning component and a housing design component. The urban planning component composes a scenario which neighborhood planning and supporting services lacked in the existing urban fabric are projected in the city's development moving forward. The housing design component focuses on the architectural design of expandable housing units prepared for the refugee resettlement.
