“The Middle Space”

A tube structure includes an interior, an exterior, and a middle space. This project focuses on utilizing the middle space in the implied tubes of vision. These implied tubes are a network of openings that projects throughout the duplex house. The residents visually own the space within their line of vision and sense other occupants' movement in their peripheral vision. This temporary intrusion defines the middle space, allowing occupants to interact with one another discursively and presenting the contradiction between porosity and privacy.
