“One Home, Two Roofs, Three Relationships”
Two roofs create three types of spaces for two siblings to share: the friend, the enemy , the family (bottom to top, respectively). The form is derived from intersecting a horizontally extruded triangle, the second roof, with a tilted plane. The triangle serves as the symbol of the home on the back facade and a divider between the public and private spaces. One continuous staircase with a gradually decreasing rise and run is the only connector in between. The two enemy spaces are only accessible from corresponding stairs in the shared bedroom, hence the name enemy.
