“Mo-Co: Motown Muscians Co-Housing”
Located in Midtown Detroit, Mo-Co taps into the existing music scene to provide affordable housing for musicians, Detroit's own culture creators. Mo-Co works as an instrument to service the music ecosystem of Detroit providing critical stormwater infrastructure to its 9-Block Radius. The program offers Co-Housing for Musicians to foster collaboration in Detroit, and a music library to provide rentals and repairs for instruments. The 9-Block Plan proposes cisterns, green roofs, bioswales, gray water use, and permeable surfaces by un-coding shared-stormwater practices incentivising new relationships between developers, city-owned land, and stormwater.
