The Wash House hopes to join the community and support them through considerate construction practices and design methods. This project focuses on the everyday experiences of affordable housing and supporting how residents live out their daily lives. Affordable housing can often become unengaging aesthetically and minimal within the provided programs. This is typically due to a lack of funding, sourcing for construction practices, or considerate design approaches which can sometimes evolve into uneconomical buildings or sites. While attempting to make housing more affordable, the consideration of human focused design should not be overlooked, it should be utilized to design through morality.
