The rundown site of the former St. Agnes School & Martyrs of Uganda Parish Church currently acts as an impromptu ‘stage’ of sorts for various forms of content creation (music videos, photo-shoots, ruin tourism, etc.). The aim for the "PLAYHOUSE" proposal is to reintroduce the formal theatre to the site, both for local residents, students, and patrons, but also for travelling shows, artists, and company’s. "PLAYHOUSE" also explores modes of transient living, via material and formal transparency, to highlight the domestic "theatre of the everyday" - a means of returning a sense of ownership, partnership, and play to the residents of the building and residents of the Rosa Parks Corridor.
