[SYSTEMS] - BORUM + WIGGER - STUDENT WORK
Eduardo Villamor, Emma Powers, Jirayut Puribhat
“Ad Hoc”
Ad Hoc means “when necessary or needed.” The scheme is centered around identifying needs within Jefferson Chalmers Neighborhood in Detroit, addressing concerns regarding low vacancy, affordable housing, and intense seasonal flooding. The design aims to increase access to nature space, implement widespread internet connectivity, and provide educational and creative opportunities across the site. Through the design of many multi-scalar housing typologies, the project provides living situations that facilitate the needs of multiple user groups who may inhabit and grow with the site throughout time.
