“Blouse”

Fueled by the misogyny and objectification faced by female identifying persons, Blouse aims to create a safe space of community and protection. As a site composed of an exhibition space, library, bath-house, short-term women’s shelter, and trails playing with the idea of where one is “allowed” to walk and ripping through topography, Blouse is a memorial site and new beginning to those affected by gender related violence. Titled with an inherently gendered word, Blouse seeks to reclaim the idea of femininity and is a site to prevent harm. “If touch could make them hear, then touch me now.”
