“SchoolHouseHall”

Through the transformation of two undignified objects, we explore aesthetics, forms, and potential clients for our designs. By applying these forms and aesthetics to other undignified objects, e.g. a basic folding chair and abandoned factory, we design a playful, expandable, and adaptable piece of furniture-building that engages with climate change, the temporality of architecture, and the nature of education itself. SchoolHouseHall is an inflatable, algae-loving building that educates its visitors on climate issues, hosts events for community and political organizing, and uses a formerly polluting factory to clean the air.
