“Hydro [Commons]”
This project draws on the process of water circulation in Ann Arbor and proposes an alternative critical position and mediation in this circle, reacting to environmental changes and functioning as a closed ecosystem as needed.
“Hyrdrocomons” is an invitation, that brings in the natural surroundings. The result is a multi-scalar design process that aims to ‘resocialize’ water within the public spaces of the visitor center. This project implements a filtering process from the biofilter, algae treatment, and constructed wetland to make the water network visible with a series of interconnected pieces of wetland, infrastructure, building, and hydrological processes.
