Ground Oasis is an educational nature center focusing on the experience of an architectural promenade that constantly reevaluates and reveals one's relationship with the ground. It takes you through a life cycle of a plant with curated exhibits and learnshops. In an attempt to physically and mentally "ground" the human body, the project ties this life cycle to three site conditions: the creek, forest, and field. Each field condition is then translated into an architectural response: submerge, merge and emerge, reorienting the visitor to a new site experience along the promenade and encouraging visitors to practice mindfulness during their stay.
