Within the walls of the main structure, historical documents and records of the Caribbean people are stored. The parallel program of bathhouse and consulate residencies calls to acknowledge the role that transparency plays in diplomacy. The project asks, what does it mean to design for an isolated community and materialize the overlapping of spaces and cultures. It strives for architecture that is empathetic to the people it's meant to represent. In the bath house, at the dinner party, where people are most encouraged to be vulnerable.
