This proposal draws formal inspiration from the country dances of Texas. It reorganizes, translates, and exaggerates boot-to-body movement to "draw" out/in/near/together the popular cowboy cultures of Texas and Brasil - the proposed embassy site. A built celebration of the two nation's economic parity and imagined partnership, the capital city of Brasilia is the ideal stage for this inaugural performance. Here, in the context of highly expressive architectural works, The New Republic of Texas shows up, peels out, and do-si-dos across the political landscape. Well (w)heeled F-150s/250s and more become the signature agents that help showcase Texas's environmental(?), cultural, and economic characteristics. Yee-Haw!
