"Bridge Embassy"

The original Harrison & Abramovitz design of the U.S. Embassy in Havana sought to represent America as young and forward-looking, but it physically turned its back on Cuba and instead looked north to the United States.

By reinterpreting the original design through the formal language of the Cuban modernists, the Bridge Embassy seeks to re-engage with Cuba, create a posture of openness, and establish a visual and programmatic connection between the two lands.
