The Fibershed is an experiment; an instigated space re-purposed for the observation and research of wool as a cultural material - an industrial, pastoral design that contextualizes the rumination between the countryside and the city in pursuit of corralling dialectics. This site explores the dialectic between the countryside and the city, bringing representation to an underrepresented and overexploited landscape. Through the tensile nature, elasticity, and malleability of wool, the building and cultural center is woven together with woolen assemblies that create niches of temporality, circulation, seasonality, and observation through panoramas, projections, and corralls.
