[MUD] UD 712 - CLUTTER, NAZMEEVA - STUDENT WORK

In today's intensively urbanized Istanbul, the project explores alternative possibilities for the boundary between the city and nature. The Alibey Dam, located northwest of downtown Istanbul, was once an important water storage infrastructure for the city. The natural environment it depends on is now facing an unprecedented crisis due to the construction of three highways around it. This proposal is to create a new boundary around the highway that is natural but also highly capable of accommodating urbanization. This is an ambitious spatial intervention and an exploration of a new urbanism.
